The iconic red air filter by BMC. More air, more protection, best quality. A perfect fit for your Ducati Hypermotard. Available in Standard and soon to be released Race versions. STANDARD filter: All BMC motorcycle filters replace the original air filter. All filters are installed in the air box with no need for any modification. The characteristic and substantial difference is that the “filtering package” is increases air flow effectively improving combustion and engine performance. RACE filter: Provides greater air breathing capacity compared to the standard and is intended for race application. Re-mapping is advised for optimum performance through proper fuel/air ratio throughout the power band. RACE filters have the words “RACE” on their recognition code (e.g. FM 482/08 RACE) and a yellow line inside the filter package. BMC Air Filter Construction BMC air filters are produced using a "Full Moulding" system that enables the characteristic red filter to be realized from a single mould with no welded joints thus avoiding easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filtering systems has a long life, is very durable and has optimum adhesion characteristics to all shapes of airboxes. BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil covered with an epoxy coated alloy mesh to ensure protection from petrol fumes and oxidization due to air humidity. All BMC air filters are pre-oiled, and they can be washed and regenerated by using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit. show less Fit
